Um, that is one of the most disturbing sentences that have ever been uttered (or typed)... I'm amazed no-one has brought it up already.

That is an odd line and the legality of incest in Romania is oddy mentioned but it's a random sentence in the article because it's making presumptions, reading it might make someone think she is leaving because of incest in her own home when that is probably not the reason. Maybe like most Eastern Europeans, she wants to leave and have a better life in 'the west'.

Romania's legality of incest is that they have decriminalised the act between 2 consenting adults, argueing that it is psychological help they need, not to be labeled criminals. It's obviously more complicated then just that but still.
