Blind no.

Back problems yes.

The point is the same.

Obese people could get treatment for their obesity.

Rather then do it they decide to not work and also have health problems that everyone else is forced to pay for... and of which they pay nothing into.

It's no different then if someone had some other curable disease that prvented them from working and decided to not get cured simply so they could get free handout money and not work.

if that were the case, then why isnt everyone in the UK who has ever been ill unemployed? the answer is humans want to do more than live off benefits, so your argument is null and void, it works like that now, yet most people still choose to work (or at least look for work, its hard to find atm in the UK, what with the reccesion and all)

Incorrect.

Not all humans do.  I know plenty of people who do want to just live off benfits.  This family is an example.

My point is very valid.   Does the UK not have the equivlent of "Welfare Moms".

If your unfamiliar with them.  They are women who have children, get paid by the government to take care of those children.. then live off the money while being cheap onw hat the kids need.

Hell one of my co-workers son's has an niece who does that.   She has 3 kids so the government will give them money.  They have a giant flatscreen, videogame system, stereo system a nice car.

There kids don't even have shoes some times.  They have messed up damaged clothes, and their mother refuses to accept used clothes from a thift store.

Hell that's not even close to the only person i know who use their own damn kids to get a free ride.  So don't tell me people don't do it when there is an article right there saying there is with something less cruel.

Lots of people are willing to do nothing and get a pay out.

i accept there are a vast minority like that, but most people still work

minority yes.

Vast... I'm not so sure.

For a lot of people I think the stigma of being unemployed means a lot more then satisfaction from working at crappy fast food places and the like.  If they weren't afraid of being looked down opon...

Either way these people are a big drain.

People who willingly do nothing to help themselves or their fellow man.

People who intentionally refuse to do anything and drain resources unlike those naturally afflicted and don't have the choice.

People who intentionally refuse to help themselves or their common man and only live to leech of the state have broken their social contracts in my opinion and the government should have no reponsibility to these people.  Not working because you can't find a job or because you have a disease is acceptable.

Not working because you don't want a job or don't want to cure a disease is not.
