Think how much more their healthcare will cost. |
So free healthcare is one of the bigger problems in the UK???
|
The way it's run yeah. There is no benefit to living a healthy life.
It's a major problem with US healthcare too but that's managed by offering either rewards or penalties to people for how they live their livse. Such a thing would be unthinkable in the UK.

its called equality
|
Equality is letting people be self destructive and being forced to pay the consequences when they make poor choices?
So that i can screw up my life however badly I want and you have to pick up the dime for me?
That doesn't sound like equality.
It sounds like exploiting of the people who give a damn by people who don't.

you do know some people overeat due to mental problems? like depression? under your system they would die, so you would be indirectly responsible for there deaths, healthcare is a right of all humans, to deny it of anyone for any reason is allways wrong
|
How would they die? They wouldn't they would instead have to go to government rehabilitation to take care of their problems. If they're depressed be put on medication etc.
Obesity is a disease... a volentary disease but a disease none the less. People who have it should be diagnosed and treated.
THey should not be allowed to get fat and force everyone else to pay for their own very fixable disability.
If they refuse to have it cured. Why should the state bear the responsibility of people choosing to have health problems.
People who are overweight will be given the means and power to lose it.... and only those diagnosed with gentics should be given money for a disability which is treatable.
I mean it would be like saying someone who chooses to be blind deserves handouts.

the average income in the UK is £22,000 a year, on that salary most people cant afford to pay for private healthcare.
