Squall...Mass Effect is a blast...really...it starts off slow, but once you break out of the initial mission...you're going to love how wide open it is. I'm playing SO4 now, as I was hoping to fill my ME fix until it came out, but I've been a little disappointed.
One thing I've discovered...I'm not into the combat system for JRPGs...Why are we using mostly swords and staffs....in a space-based game??!??! Anyway...the crafting is nice, as is having a ship, but the dialogue and interaction is far inferior to Mass Effect.
