I would not say it was underrated just over priced (in comparison to the competition) I would also argue that any price cut Sony introduce will quickly be nullified by Microsoft who in my opinion are going for the juggler.
Sony are doing well in third place right now, I am not sure they should invest in what potentially could be a price war with Microsoft as I am not so sure they will win. When the exchange rates bounce back then they should pounce after all this is the console with a ten year plan.
