Id say PS3 is the new GameCube - good amount of exclusives, has a solid core base, and even after this gen passes, people will look back on it fondly.
The PS3 is far from doomed, it just needs to find its way into more homes, which will come as it becomes cheaper. Will it catch up to XB360? Possibly, but I personally don't expect it to. Will it catch up to the Wii? Only if they were giving them away for free at this point.
