M-rated demographics appear to own more HD consoles than Wiis. Pretty simple, really.

That doesn't mean there should be no M-rated games on the Wii, or that they will do poorly -- they will just perform weaker than on the HD consoles, and there will be fewer of them overall.

While the competition is limited on the Wii, there appear to be as many as 8 times as many potential M-rated demographics on the PS360 as on the Wii, which which makes it harder to justify the cost of even a low-cost Wii M-rated game. The fact that the Wii M-rated market isn't crowded (yet) is a big boon right now, but that could change as well over time, as a double-edged sword effect of Wii titles having legs.
