PC gaming is not dead in great part because of MMORGs.
World of Warcraft subscriptions alone accounts for roughly 10 percent of the total PC gaming revenues. Add in about the same from all other MMORGs -- and your generating one dollar out of five from a pay-to-play model.
There are certain genres which work better on the PC because of the interface (keyboard) as well.
Another factor I find interesting is the calculation of hardware. I wonder how it was done (not saying it can't be or isn't correct -- but I am always critical of numbers without discussion as to how they were generated).

Of course, I got back into console gaming because the PC requirements kept changing faster than I wanted to/was able to upgrade.
I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
