There is a problem. It's the idiots that are moving their consoles when they are on with a disc in the drive.

(the difference between the old\new consoles is that the drives like the Benq\Lite-on in the newer consoles have rubber "bumpers" so when the discs are placed vertically they will not scratch when moved).
This still doesn't change the fact that this scratching only ever happens if the owner of the 360 is such an idiot as to move it when the disc is spinning. Watchdog along with the BBC in general can kiss my ass. They're website is fantastic but they're TV reporting is an abomination, especially in tech related fields - the reporters don't have knowledge of modern technology or have a clue what they are reading of the autocue.
