People seem to associate Nintendo products with kids. Nintendo seems to market them that way. There are alot of kid and family type games on the Wii and when a mature rated game is released it seems to stand out. Imagine looking through the Disney section of DVDs in a store and seeing a "girls gone wild" dvd in the middle of it.
If a person isnt a hardcore gamer (like most of us on this site) it really stands out to them. Then ignorance mode kicks in and they seem to think something is wrong with a mature rated game.
