I have not played CoD:WaW yet. But my guess is, based upon past games in this genre, that you have to shoot dogs who are attacking (or about to attack) you. (This goes back to Castle Wolfenstein )
If that is the case, then PETA needs to just realize that war is hell and move on to being critical about the soldiers being served meat or some other meaningless complaint (for the record, I have no problem with vegetarianism but I do have a problem of people forcing you to accept their views).
