Basically this engine picks up Gears of War 2 and Killzone 2, and dumps both those games FIRMLY in the realm of average. Very impressive.
Best lighting, best detail, best best best best everything.
Did you see the smoke effects from the explosion of the RPG. And the bridge collapsing near the end. Just as we were praising Killzone 2's effects, Cry Engine 3 just ripped them apart.
Absolutely amazing. Best bit is this is the 360 and PS3 engine. As stated at the start of the Cry Engine 3 trailer.
LOL at all those devs that said PS3 or 360 was maxed out.
