At the end of the day I have to give it to PS1.

It had much better games from Konami, games from Sega's library that SNES didn't like Lunar and Grandia and better games in more genres.

The PS1 was the fulfillment of what started on SNES when we first started to take notice of JRPGs. I will say that Final Fantasy VI was better than VII, but there were quite a few jrpgs we didn't get in the states on the during the SNES years the like of which really started flowing in on PS1 from 1999 until the end of the PS1's lifetime and then was carried on on PS2.

Since Microsoft is winning in America and Nintendo is catering to their new market we might enter a time when we won't see so many jrpgs in the future over here.

Heavens to Murgatoids.
