I think that the post said that the fee will only be charged for the first 60 days so I doubt that anyone would be deleting older files... I;m hoping anyways :)

Thanks for pointing that out.  That does change things.

Though some free DLC may still be at risk, but the only common free DLC I can think of comes from LBP, and that obviously wouldn't be affected by this.
