Sorry but that's rather stupid. If they increased prices, some Koreans would still be able to get a PS3. Now they can't unless they import (which will cost even more due to shipping and currency conversion).
If anything they're doing this because they're greedy.
This smells more like discontinuing the PS3 in Korea due to bad sales which don't allow them to raise prices.
