Why are people so threatened by the Wii?

Who ruined my thread? And there's no need to get all defensive on the subject matter. No one and I mean no one will all like the same thing. It keeps competition alive. You can like your PS3 & XBox 360 but all this thread is talking about is why people seem to be threatened that the Wii exists as if it's the Borg coming to turn us into Locutus or something.
