I've played only like 3 hours so far, but so far it's better than Blue Dragon in every possible way outside of the encounter system and maybe the music.
It looks amazing, better than Blue Dragon.
The combat system is really good and a mix of real time and turn based (BD has a good combat system too).
The story is a lot better than Blue Dragon's and it has better characters.
The dialogue and writing is far far better than the Kindergarten level drivel of Blue Dragon.
The music is pretty good too.
Apart for Shin Megami Tensei games, this has the most original and weird JRPG story I've played which is also a big plus.
Will post more impressions as I play more. But so far I like it a lot. To me this is the best JRPG of the new gen so far, not BD.
