Aren't those two statements conflicting one another? I mean with the PS2 last generation, most felt it only necessary to own one console, both casual and core players.
@OP: I don't buy into those who say you'll always regret selling a console. Especially in your case, still having immediate access to a 360 still. If the only reason you were concerned about was not being able to play Mass Effect 2, you could always loan a 360 from a friend for a short while.
Ultimately, it's you alone who will know if you made the right decision but I would think you made the right move if you were only holding on to the console for one game that you cared about.
EDIT: I know you mention WRPG's but if you like JRPG's it'd probably have been wise to keep both as they seem to be quite scattered these years.
