Well, I just bought the PS3 last week and I love it! The selling points for me were the Blu-Ray, Wi-Fi built in, free online access, and dependability. On the other hand I have had my Xbox 360 for a year now (it has never RROD on me) and I still love it! However, now that I have a blu-ray disc player I can't see watching dvd's with standard definition. It also seems to me that the up-conversion capabilities of the PS3 is better than the Xbox 360's.
A slightly annoying thing to me about the Xbox 360 is that I would have to pay an extra $80 to $100 to get wi-fi when it comes standard on the PS3 and Wii. Also, I don't like paying for internet access twice. It's bad enough that I have to pay a monthly bill for internet access so why should I have to pay for it again. Yes, Xbox Live is better than Playstation Network, but when something is free it's pretty darn good to me.
As for the Wii, well, I got one for Christmas and I must say Mario Kart Wii is pretty dang FUN! I have always loved Mario Kart and the Wii version is AWESOME!!
So, I am the proud owner of all three consoles of this generation and I love them all. As for the best, well, I think it depends on the person and what they love more. I love different aspects of each console. Overall, I would have to say that the PS3 is the better of the three right now, most likely because I just got it and it's new and you know how people get when they get new things.
