they will probrably release the PS4 a year after the nextbox or two year top, meaning 2013 at most, and if they want it to compete with the nextbox i dont think they would be able to support the PS3 for much longer, and besides the PS1 and PS2 have lasted this long because of their huge install base, which i doubt the PS3 will be able to achieve
