 I don't think they did it on purpose.

The Isreali army could massacre all the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza virtualy overnight before anyone could intervene. If that was their goal, which it isn't.

 

how do you accidentally bomb UN buildings and shoot civilians within youre line of sight?
