XBox 360 = 28 million Versus PS3 = 18 million in non-Japan regions helps the X360 multi-platform titles sell more. Big deal, the PS3 wins Japan region it has 3 million to 1 million install base over X360 in Japan. PS3 sells 5 times the rate as X360 in Japan.
Some of the western orientated games do not sell at all in Japan. X360 gets a 3 to 2 victory over PS3 for most multi-platform titles that matter.
The only PS3 games that sell more as multi-platform are traditional PS titles that appeal to japanese gamers which help then narrowly hold out the X360 versions. Eg: DMC 4, SF IV and RE5 have sold 55% to 45% in favour of PS3 over X360.
