Part of me hopes that FFXIII is received like FFXII was: lauded by critics as one of if not the best games in the franchise, praised for how it carries the series forward into brave new territories and shows that Square actually does still have it -
And then the gaming populace explodes into violent factions who either hail it as the second coming of Final Fantasy or the death knell of the series.
I would have so much fun in that dialogue's landscape.
