I believe I clarified that I was stating my opinion. The poster in question, on the other hand, stated his opinion as if it were fact. Big difference.

He also gave his opinion. That's what we do here. You don't need to write "I think" or "My opinion is" before your sentences.
When we want to give facts, usually we use numbers, links or quotes proving them.
