The whole situation reaks of racism and if that's not enough the bolded part reinforces this, also Luisianna? 'Nuff said.

Still this is very sad. A senseless murder.

What does?  What it that story seems to involve racism at all?

The link says "la-na-race-shootings."  Still, let's put that aside for a moment and consider the possibilities...

You're a police officer in a small town and you were just called out to investigate an odd disturbance out in the country.  As you drive up to the location, you see a lot of people (at least 40) milling around and dancing in a large front yard.  You follow your partner as he approaches and out of the corner of your eye you spot an old man in a wheel chair with a strange smile on his face.  You pick up the pace a little to keep up with your partner but your eyes wander back to that old man and a strange object you didn't notice before--a gun.  Why is the old man holding a gun?  The question confuses you for a moment but you quickly notice the old man is raising it.  Cold fear creeps down the back of your neck making your hair stand on end as you shout for him to stop and the party stops instead.  All eyes are on you now... and the man hasn't dropped his gun.  He's still raising it.  It's almost pointing at your partner as you shout again.  You see the man reaching for the trigger followed by a loud bang and look down to see your own gun had somehow made its way to your hands.  You tremble slightly as you look up from the barrel to see the old man, blood now leaking from his chest, as the gun falls from his hands to the ground.  Dozens of people around you look on in horror and... anger.  You vaguely hear your partner talking into the radio and watch as he tries to take charge of the situation by moving people back and away from the old man.  Your heart pounds painfully against your chest as beads of sweat dot your forehead.  Why did this have to happen?
