I was trying to get at, each console was profitable. Yes M$ has a large debt that needs to be payed for, however it is well on its way to doing that. Even with another drop in price it will more than likely still make a profit. And the other point is (Sony) with another price drop is headed in the other direction.
Anytime a company introduces an item out into the public domain, it will incur a lot of loss until it can get on its feet. And thats why M$ has stuck with the gaming divisison and why they are on their way to making a profit this gen.
