Jesus people, get this idea out of your heads. I'm a huge Wii fan but accept that RE5: Wii will never happen. Never. The developers would have to do one of two things to get RE5 on the Wii:
- Downgrade the character models, environments, and textures to something close to PS1 maybe early PS2 quality. That means they would have to remake everything and it would only end up launch PS2 quality at best. You remember the laugh everyone had at the Cruis'n screens a while back right? A game that looked like that would get the exact same treatment and the game would not sell. It's true that graphics shouldn't expect gameplay, but there is a certain bar that developers should hit and launch PS2 graphics on the Wii isn't it.
- They would have to downgrade the character models, environments, and textures still but not as much because they changed the environments and encounters (mainly to deal with less enemies and models on screen at any time). Even with the improved control scheme this would instantly be the inferior version because it would have dumbed down gameplay. It just plain wouldn't sell because why would anyone buy a worse version of a game when the better true version is out there? It would be like if they released RE4: Wii without the PS2 content and took three enemies out of every encounter.
