FFXIII and KH will require 50GB disks with great compression to fit all the data they need. It would not even surprise me if they had to use 2 BR disks, and if the game came out on the 360 they would be useing at least 6 DVDs, because if they were using 1 50GB BR with good PS3 compression, then the 360 would have to use more disks as it can not decompress as fast. |
Its true that Sony holds the storage advantage by far. But multidisk games are nothing new, its not like people cant live with it, weve all been doing it for years using cd's and now dvd's.
Blue Dragon is a 3 dvd game, and if it were on one BD it *would* be nice...but it doesnt detract from enjoyment of the game.
If a multiplat game came out and on PS3 it was one BD and for 360 it was 6 DVD9's, well of course if I owned both systems I would get the PS3 version everything else being equal. But for people who own just a 360 I dont think the multiple discs would effect a damn thing. ("oh my god Im gonna have to swap discs, what a deal breaker!")
People tend to think multiple discs is some sort of terrible thing now that we have the option of higher capacity media.
PS360 ftw!
