They are taking measures to survive for a better future. Where much of the Other Divisions in Sony have undergone massive and critical changes, the playstation division has remained relatively untainted by the economy. That's a good thing.
In the rest of the world outside of America the Playstation 3 has strong enough sales and games will continue to be developed for PS3 owners worldwide.

I don't feel fazed at all by this statement. Its guarantee that by the end of this generation your 'investment' will still be running strong and there will still be mad games to play.
I don't see why the negativity, over nothing.
There is a reason why Hirai says that by the end of this generation, there is absolutely no way that the PS3 would be outsold by their competition. In competition here, he means the X360.
