I do believe a price cut would greatly benefit PS3 sales, but it's not like Sony is the only company that can drop the prices. The Wii hasn't had a single price cut yet and Microsoft is still riding their last one. It's not necessarily too late for the PS3 to do some catching up however the clock is ticking if they expect to get out of 3rd place.
