Wow that's a tough one. I've played 6 pleeenty of times (never beat it tho, was close to) and I beat the living crap out of X (beat the last boss with one normal attack). I love both but gun to my head, I'd have to say 6. Storyline was better (at some points X was a little confusing), the main bad guy was waaay better (Kefka >>> all) and all in all I think that's what did it for me. Although, gameplay wise I'd have to give it to FFX, although it wasn't ATB, it worked, plus the sphere grid was pure genius.
