What country do you live in, and who are the monarchs? What do you think about them?
I live in Australia and our monarch is Queen Elizabeth II. I think that the days of English imperialism is over and that the Queen in a remnant of the colonialism of my country. She lives so far away and has so little power beyond the symbolic (she doesn't even pick her representative here anymore) that I think the monarchy is essentially a waste of time that needs to be removed.
Do you think your monarch should have more power? Less power? Stay the same? Should it be abolished totally?
I think Australia should become a republic.
Does your monarch act as a symbol? Do you think they do a good job as a symbol?
Pretty irrelevant these days, thats not to say that Queen Elizabeth isn't respected by the public, she most certainly is. If we become a republic it will be after she dies most likely.
