There's no way to get the ToV achievements quicker than 80-odd hours. Like some other JRPGs, you don't play to just get achievements, as JRPG/WRPGs are about the most time-consuming genres for 1k/1k-ing.
My achievement list for RPGs goes like:
Oblivion: 1250/1250 (easy as pie....A 130 hour pie)
Phantasy Star Universe: 1000/1000 (Easy 1k JRPG. Takes 25hrs, and only reqires you to beat the game)
Enchanted Arms: 1000/1000 (Same as PSU)
Two Worlds: 870/1000 (Beaten about as much as I'm gonna get. Rest is too time consuming for a bad game)
Blue Dragon: 830/1000 (Maybe 1 more achievement before I call it quits...One of the achievements involving the ship feels borked)
Lost Odyssey: 705/1000 (Girlfriend has actually done all this...Can't find the 4th disc to finish it!)
Mass Effect: 655/1000 (Still have a ways to go, but I'm doing some here and there)
Fallout 3: 650/1000 (Beat it, but do not own it yet. Want to buy it & get more sometime)
Marvel: UA: 650/1250 (The game feels screwed up. I've tried to get more points recently, but it seems that there are some glitches with my save)
ToV: 360/1000 (Not beaten game yet)
Eternal Sonata: 340/1000 (Halfway through 2nd playthrough. Will 1k/1k at some point)
The Last Remnant: 310/1000 (Not beaten game yet)
IU: 260/1000 (Not beaten game yet)
KUF: Circle of Doom: 140/1000 (Would like to get more, but don't own it)
Culdcept Saga: 5/1000 (Most difficult RPG to collect points on. Will get more sometime)
As you can see, I have a looooong way to go on some of em. Currently still playing ToV, IU, TLR and ME for points, and I need to go back to Culdcept Saga and get further, as it's a fantastic game. If I could validate all of my points, I would be ranked around the top 1500 RPG players of all time on the Xbox 360....And still could get in the top list easy.
In fact, that's what I need to do at some point soon....Get myself back in the Top 50 RPG players of all time. I own enough games to get close to it.
