I remember my dreams all the time.

You can train yourself to remember your dreams.

Keep a dream diary for maybe a month or two. Every day, wake up, and write down as much as you remember. It might just be a color, or a shape, or a mood, or an idea. If it's a vague image, try to draw it. Do that every day, and you'll get used to thinking like that. Pretty soon you'll remember whole scenes, and later on you'll remember whole dreams.

Then, when other people talk about their dreams, it can trigger memories of older dreams you've forgotten, and you'll start remembering more and more dreams. When your "dream awareness" gets really good, you can eventually become able to tell when you're dreaming, and then control your dreams. It is the best thing in life.

Also, sleeping more than once in the same day can make you much more likely to remember your dreams. So if you wake up in the middle of the night for a piss or a snack, you're more likely to remember a dream the second time you wake up. I used to sleep 3 times a day, for 1-2 hours each nap, and I'd remember several dreams a day.

@OP, fucking awesome dream.
