Yikes. The iPhone really is trying to be a palm-sized PC.
13 million iPhones in '08 is on par with PSP sales in that period. Adding in iPod Touch sales makes the platform almost as fast selling as the DS was in '08. The business model is completely different, and the content isn't there yet, but I expect the iPhone/iPod Touch platform will compete with dedicated handheld gaming devices about as much as PCs compete with consoles.
