I hate to break it to you but the first installment of Gran Turismo on a Playstation is always more popular than its immediate successor. It would make more sense to compare GT5 to GT3. The install base of the PS3 will likely do nothing to hinder GT5's success due to the fact that Europe accounts for more than half of the series' sales and the PS3's sales trends in that region are similar to that of the PS2. Finally, take the fact that Gran Turismo is a system seller into account and GT5's sales are all but guaranteed to surpass those of Halo 3. I'd be shocked if Halo 3's LTD sales exceeded those of GT5.
