Bah, maybe with horrible, shoddy code Lair pushed the limits of the PS3. I am sure I could write a "hello world" so terribly that it pushed the limits of the PS3 as well.
all three consoles have plenty left graphically that hasn't been touched (particularly the wii) The problem is that no cross platform game is going to even try for the PS3. The devs will make it for the 360 the port it to the PS3 and they will look identical. As sony is losing exlusives left and right, and having (in my opinion) notoriously mediocre 1st party titles (as a whole, not individually) things could get tight for them
