I understand your argument, and you are not wrong that the users don't think the PS3 is a failure, but you refuse to see it from Sony's side. PS3 = good for the users, and is bad for the company, X360 is good for users and company.
Look. I'm going to say this only once more.
Sony = company
goal of every company = gaining money
Way of gaining money = gaining clients
PS3 = losing clients
so PS3 = losing money
Losing money for company = failed product
PS3 = failed product.
It doesn't get more logical than this.
