Except I'd add gaming philosophies to that, which can actually be company-specific. It's why I've always had a soft spot for Nintendo - they, at times only hypothetically but often not, are interested in bringing me innovative gaming. But if the system that has the most games I want to play and is at the right price point is the PS3 or the 360 or the Atari Wedon'tsuckanymore, it's the system that I'll buy.

I think the fanboyism and brand loyalty is spawned from the same part of the human psyche as loyalty to professional sports teams. Which, when you actually think about it, is a ridiculous concept. But - it's fun.

The reason I like Nintendo is because they consistently bring great games to the table.  My favorite franchises -- Metroid, Mario, Zelda -- always deliver, and deliver big, with the exception of Mario on the 'cube.

Zelda: Twilight Princess is definitely one of the best game I've ever played and I will likely play through it again yet this year if I get an opportunity.
