RUNESCAPE lmfao sorry i had to say that

To be honest I actually like some things that it brings to MMORPGs. Firstly it doesn't have classes. I could use any weapons I want, any armor I want, and level up anything I want. Then I could do a whole different thing. I already mentioned this, but I will say it again because of how much I  enjoy it. Secondly the leveling up system is much easier, and fun imo. If I want to use physical attacks better then I level them up. If I want to use magic better than I level that up. Then the magic system is unique, it uses the runes and needing a certain type. Another thing is that the quests while be less in quanity are much more in depth than most MMOs I've played. For example some of the starting quests in WoW make you collect a certain item from 10 wolves. How is that interesting? Yeah it is necessary to level up,  but I'm playing a game and that is just as bad as grinding imo. Then in runescape you have some story lines to go along with the quest, and a quest consists of many different things to do in order to finish it. The only games that I've played with a similar quest format are single player WRPGs. Some popular examples of these are The Elder Scroll Series, Fallout series, and Fable series. There also tons of not so popular WRPGs that use this format. Now when an MMORPG brings these aspects I like in single player RPGs I enjoy it alot.

That being said there are some things that I dislike about the game that make me look for another option. The first and most important is the community. I absolutely hate it. It is filled with dozens of kids younger than me who have nothing better to do that call you a noob, or tell you how you suck because your level isn't as high as theirs. Then the exploration aspects. I love exploring in RPGs and runescapes world is just to small imo, even with a membership. The visuals don't help either, but I'm not one to care too much about visuals. The battle gameplay is also very lacking and pretty generic. The economic system sucks and you have to spend hours just to get a good amount of money, and there are a few other flaws I have with the game. So yes while some people may say Lmfao to it(mainly because of who most of the community is) I would say that it is a valid mmorpg.
