Okay, so I'm graduating from high school in may. (No, I don't have to worry about failing since I don't need to pass any of my classes to have enough credit to graduate!) My parents are going to get me a laptop as a congratulations present thing, and I don't know what kind would be best.

I would be using it for surfing the web, and college work mostly (and maybe some Age of Empires II). All I know is that they're looking for something under $1000 (the less close to 1000, the better), and they want to find it at Costco (which I don't understand). I've looked around online a bit, but I don't really know what I'm looking for! Can you guys recommend me a good laptop? Thanks in advance!

This is what I got (at $1,049), but it is SERIOUSLY low in price right now:

Best of all is that is has Blu-Ray with an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT with Nvidia PureVideo HD (for the Blu-Ray).

Ive used the Pavillions before and i have to say for typing they're really good because (Assuming it's the same layout as the AMD ones) they have a full keyboard and the screen quality was great.

The only bad thing i have to say about them was that i saw a few with broken hinges which made the screen flop around awfully, they dont last too long on battery and IIRC it ran really hot.
