Although this news may be two days old, and despite the fact that I lacked the desire to create a thread yesterday, it is still significant. Friday, while speaking at New England Law's annual "Law Day," Ginsburg alluded to a possible vacancy on the Supreme Court. It appears as if the possible vacancy is likely to affect the liberal bloc of the Court. When the inevitable vacancy appears, I suspect Judge Sotomayor of the Second Circuit will be President Obama's nominee. The ambiguity of her statement leaves much to the imagination.
