Responding to a Rol thread with a serious post:

I'm no longtime Nintendo zealot, willing to serve the church as the church directs me. I haven't owned a console since the 16 bit era. Last gen, I played more Xbox than Gamecube, and the gen before that, more Playstation than N64. Even though I own both a SNES and a Genesis, the Genesis got more play (hey, it came out first).

Nintendo didn't have an easy sell to retain my fandom just by releasing more Mario and Zelda games, they earned my fandom with the decisions they made this generation. Nintendo has catered so well to my gaming needs that I just bought a DS as my first handheld in over two decades of gaming.

To butcher the metaphor, I'll allow Nintendo to fleece this sheep just so long as they keep using my wool to make cozy and fashionable sweaters. They haven't disappointed me yet.
