It would be like FF turning into a shooter because they sell more than JRPG's. If I was another developer or publisher I would jump on this and take advantage of the void the RE franchise has left in the real survival horror genre. There are millions of gamers like myself that are dying to play an old school survival game. Not this made for casual players crap. |
The scary thing is that the above scenario might actually happen a few years down the line. Final Fantasy has been around since the 80s, it will still be around for 25 to 30 more years. Plenty of time for grudual changes.
