Sony has a chance at 2nd if......
they match the 360's Elite price $450
Because most people could care less about Blue-Ray right now, but that could change in a couple years. Another thing that is hurting sony besides the price, is Halo. Once people get this game and play on live, the game is going to spread like a wild fire. Much more then Gears of War. Expect 360 to sell 3:1 over PS3 Sept,Oct,Nov, Dec in NA.
Those 2 negatives aside. Sonys biggest weapons are GT5,Final Fantasy, and God of War 3. MS only has Banjo 3, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Halo Wars for 08.
