Numbers 1, 2, 6, 9, and 10 are plausible but the others are either really pushing it or just not that much of a problem anymore (and even #1 is pushing it).

Maybe if the author had made this article two years ago when it was still clever it might be interesting but now it just looks like he's fishing for page hits.

I would disagree, I think they are all very valid reasons.

3: “Killer-apps”: too few, too late:

they key words on this one are "too few, too late"  It has taken sony a long time to get to where they actually have some decent games, for the longest time those games were on the horizon and sony fans just had to "wait till next year."  It took Sony too long to get those games out and they lost a lot of marketshare because of it.  so I would say yes, 3 is a very valid reason for them failing.

4: weak ports:

This is pretty well documented and I don't see how you can't see this as an issue.  I would say at least 80% of multiplatform games are better on the 360 in some form or another.  They might be doing better now then they use to, but that doesn't mean that the ps3 library of games isn't full of awful ports.  Definetly a valid reason.

5: still no strong game library:

This one might be a little iffy, but I would still agree with it.  When I walk into a game store and see 8 4 foot sections for xbox 360 and only 4 foot sections for ps3 It is apparent that the 360 has more games for it.  Of course, it has been out a year longer and I do live in america where there is double the install base.  These might be reason's that stores carry more 360 products, however, doesn't change the fact that there are more games available on the 360.  So it's a good point, although i would reword to say "not as big a game library."

7: developers bag of hurt:

I don't know where you get off saying this isn't an issue?  With all the rants and sony themselves saying that they made it hard to program for on purpose, yes this is an issue.  This is why all the multiplat's are inferior and why it takes so freaking long to make a ps3 game.  This is why all the "killer aps" didn't start coming out till over 2 years after launch.  Valid

8: Sony's arrogance:

Yes they are and continue to be.  However, this one is more directed towards the ps3's launch and how sony's attitude basically killed all their momentum they had from the ps2.  They thought they could stick a product out there and label it playstation and it would sell no matter what.  That was not the case and it forced sony to cut price quickly and shuffle their sku's pretty much constantly to try and find something that could sell and not lose as much money.  I would say this is one of their more epic fail's here.  Very valid

9: controller snafu:

I would give you this isn't a very big issue.  I think most people were happy just to have wireless controllers when the system came out.  I just wish sony would change the freaking design of their controllers, they have had the same design since the original playstation.  It's time to inovate already sony.  However, I don't think this is a cause for their failing, so there ya go, only one of these 10 is not valid.
