It's as accurate as we can get as the same rules apply for the 360 as well. |
It is not as accurate as we can get, and it is not justifyable to say 'Oh we cocked up somewhere else so we can put bogus numbers here too'
As ameratsu stated, a single sold copy of K2 can have many online accounts associated with it. Siblings will probably each have one, and when people sell the game 2nd hand it adds to this problem by creating more accounts without extra sales
Further more, a rented copy of K2 will have many accounts associated with it, and yet is not tracked as even a single sale by VGChartz I believe
And yes, those things are unavoidable, but that does not allow you to present this data as the truth, especially not when you consider the biggest flaw with this data.
VGChartz presents data weekly, these numbers are from the 13th. Meaning that there will be many people who have bought the game and played online, but are not included in VGChartz's 1 million figure. If someone with a PS3 could find out the number of accounts on the 14th, then we can compare it to VGC sales from the 14th, to give us a slightly less wildly innacurate number
