Well, I want to memorize 1500 digits by Junior Year, in order to participate in the High School Pi Day, and Junior Year you have to be in Calculus.

Well if you do that you might want to try this method so you don't forget them as easily. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mnemonic_major_system Memorization using patterns is good for a short term period, but after a while you lose it.  If I remember correctly there are some famous person who memorize up to 40,000+ digits in 6 years using this method. You could also learn like 100+ in an hour depending on how good you get at it.

That reminds me of piems.

Wouldn't you have to memorize hunders of words in a row?

No, my method works for me. I am not looking for anything massive. I break the digits into lines 31 digits long, then meorize each line. Then, I simply recall the first few digits of the line and remember the first few digits of the next line, which starts the pattern recital. That helped me memorize over 270 in the past 3 days.
