The line, "there are platforms that are more or less popular than in other territories," is complete bull. The Wii is equally popular in all territories, so "To truly make an impact on the gaming scene," they'd just have to release their games on the Wii. By the end of this generation, just about every gamer will have one.

It's obvious they're explicitly referring to the 360 and going multiplat ps3/360. I also think that this is stupid, considering how horrible Blue Dragon has done in Japan/NA, and how horrible Eternal Sonata is doing in Japan. Of course, they could just mean going multiplat with newer titles like the Last remnant that may actually do somewhat okay on the 360.

I think that multiplat ps3/360 would be pretty pointless. Multiplat ps3/Wii would make a lot of sense from a sales perspective, but is unfeasible from a developing perspective.

I don't agree. Currently in that region of Japan the 360 sucks. But the rest of the regions, the 360 is dominating.Square Enix will focus on that concept. Seeing how PS3 is not doing nothing now and is 4.60 million, I can see why they say multiplatform.
