Exactly.
Brand name is a powerful thing. People often form some sort of invisible allegiance towards certain products. Whether it's a console (PS), or a specific game franchise (FF). Both of these things will really help the ps3, because of the success of the ps1/2 and games like MGS4, FFXIII, GT5, etc. Fanboys, obviously, take this to an extreme extent.
And since recent polls indicate that the ps3 is the most wanted console after the Wii for kids/teenagers 8-17 (actually, it's even more wanted than the Wii by 14-17 y/o boys), you know the ps3 could come back when the price drops some more and big name games start coming out.
